ABOUT GESUNDER RÜCKEN

Understand the back. Encourage movement. Empower people.

Gesunder Rücken combines sound knowledge with practical ideas for everyday life. Our aim is to explain complex topics clearly and help people take an active role in looking after their backs.

Why Gesunder Rücken exists.

Back pain is complex, yet simple one-size-fits-all solutions are often promised: the correct posture, one particular exercise or a single treatment.

We take a different approach. Gesunder Rücken aims to help you understand how your back works, the roles of movement, physical load and recovery, and what you can influence in everyday life.

Clear, practical and without unnecessary promises.

EXERCISE SCIENCE & PRACTICE

Dieter Kofler

Exercise Scientist (M.Sc.) · Founder of Gesunder Rücken

My interest in back health is rooted in personal as well as professional experience. I began experiencing back problems at a young age, including during my time as a bobsleigh athlete.

Those experiences led me to explore movement, training and the many factors involved in back health in greater depth.

Today, as an exercise scientist, I focus on presenting scientific principles in a way that is clear and practical for everyday life.

The combination of exercise science, movement and practical application also led to tendo, a system I developed for use at home. It supports a range of ways to improve mobility, build strength and relieve the back.

BASED ON PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

From personal back problems to an in-depth focus on back health.

These experiences continue to shape my perspective: the back does not need a universal remedy, but a balanced combination of understanding, movement, appropriate physical load and recovery.

Organisation, communication & content

At Gesunder Rücken, I turn ideas and specialist knowledge into content that is clear, well structured and useful in everyday life.

Together with Dieter, I develop topics and content about movement and back health, while supporting the organisational and communication work behind Gesunder Rücken.

It matters to me that our content feels approachable and encourages people to learn about their backs and make movement a natural part of daily life.
